K-9 New Life is a no-kill, all-breed dog rescue based in Southeast Virginia, devoted to giving dogs a second chance at the life they deserve. Since 1999, we’ve been rescuing dogs from local shelters—often those who are sick, in need of extra care, or simply overlooked when shelters are over capacity—and helping them begin a new chapter filled with love and hope.

Without a physical shelter, every dog in our care lives with a foster family, where they receive the comfort, attention, and healing they need to thrive. It’s in these homes that second chances truly begin.

None of this would be possible without the incredible kindness of our fosters, volunteers, and donors. Their time, love, and generosity are the heart of K-9 New Life and the reason so many deserving dogs have found forever homes. For more than two decades, we’ve seen what’s possible when a community comes together for animals in need—and we’re just getting started.
