K-9 New Life is an all breed, no-kill dog rescue organization located in the Tidewater area.

We are registered as a 501(c)3, non-profit organization.

The mission of K-9 New Life is to take in dogs from shelters when they have run out of time or are injured or too sick for the shelters to handle. We provide them with health care, rehabilitation, training and a loving foster home until they can be adopted. Our focus is to give these less fortunate dogs a second chance to live the happy life they deserve.

2nd ANNUAL

DOGS GONE SWIMMING EVENT

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

Noon - 4pm

(Rain Date: Sunday, September 19)

Join us for the 2nd annual end-of-summer swim for dogs, presented by Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center and Norfolk Department of Recreation, Parks and Open Space.

With the city's pools closing for the season, the day is going to the dogs - literally! For a small admission fee, your dog(s) can enjoy a swim at the city's recreation center. All proceeds to benefit animals at the Norfolk Animal Care Center.

Aquatics staff and Friends volunteers will closely monitor the pool and dogs at all times to ensure a controlled environment. Humans will not be allowed in the pools. You do not have to be a resident of Norfolk for your dog to participate.

For a schedule of the day's events, to pre-register online, or view additional event details, please click here.
